BÂTIMENT
This major institutional project for the City of Montreal Fire Department involves the construction of a new fire station (Station 32) located in the Pointe-aux-Trembles sector. The building has a floor area of approximately 673 m², with a partial floor totaling approximately 1,060 m². The garage section is heated by a hot water radiant floor connected to water-to-water heat pumps. A source capture system ensures the evacuation of exhaust gases when the vehicles are in operation. The administrative section, consisting of office and accommodation spaces, is air-conditioned and heated by water-to-air heat pumps, and the building perimeter is also heated by a radiant floor. An enthalpy wheel heat exchanger ensures air exchange in each room. All of the heat pumps draw their energy from geothermal wells. An emergency generator provides full power to the fire station in the event of a power outage. Several energy-saving and sustainable development measures have been implemented, including efficient lighting, centralized HVAC controls, heat recovery, and a highly energy-efficient system, which has earned it LEED Gold certification.
